Really Simple Syndication (RSS) allows Web users to monitor news from a variety of sources. In a function similar to traditional news syndication, many Web sites use RSS to share headlines and stories from other sites

How do I use RSS?   

RSS readers offer a set of links using the XML markup language.  A wide variety of free tools allow you to monitor RSS feeds from your desktop.

In addition to stand-alone products such as those listed below, many popular Web sites such as MyYahoo, MSN, Google Personalized Home, and others allow you to add RSS feeds to your personalized home page.
